My retired racing greyhound, Smitty, ruptured his left cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) in the fall of 2007.  I was in veterinary school at NC State at the time, and elected to have his TPLO surgery performed at my local vet's office by Dr. Tudor.  She did an amazing job, and was wonderful about communicating with me both before and after his surgery.  She let me know exactly what I could expect for his post-op recovery once we got him home.  My husband and I were worried that Smitty would never be able to run full speed again after his injury (which is something that, being a greyhound, he loved to do).  However, after his 8-week recovery we gradually increased his exercise level, and within a month he was back to 100% (as you can see from the pictures!).  He loves to run and play with our other greyhound, Cindy.  Now that I am a veterinarian, I trust Dr. Tudor to perform surgeries on my patients that are beyond my level of expertise, and I am impressed by the skill and compassion of Dr. Tudor and the entire TVSS team! --Kristen D., DVM
