Nicole Simmons, Surgical Assistant

Nicole SimmonsNicole is a veterinary technician who moved from Charleston SC to join the TVSS team in May of 2012. She has worked in small animal veterinary hospitals for over 9 years. Surgery is her biggest passion in the veterinary field. She lives in Raleigh with 2 dogs, Allie (Sheppard/Hound mix) and Theo (Chihuahua). She also has 2 cats Jack and Toot. In her spare time Nicole enjoys being with family and friends, running , and keeping up with her favorite sports teams from Boston. During football season you can find her on Sundays glued to a TV watching the New England Patriots.

Missy Barham, RVT, Surgical Assistant

Missy Barham, RVTMissy is a licensed Veterinary Technician who received her associates degree in veterinary Medical Technology from Central Carolina Community College in 1995. She has been working in companion animal Veterinary medicine at local practices for 15 years. Currently, Missy is working at Tarboro Animal Clinic, Zebulon Animal Hospital, and works with TVSS assisting with surgeries on Tuesdays.

Missy has two sons, Cole and Casey, who keep her busy when she is not working! She and her sons share their home with three dogs: Opie (a bulldog mix), Petunia, and Charlie (Chihuahua mixes) and two cats: Kitty and Marvin.

In her spare time, Missy enjoys spending time with friends and family, quilting, reading, and traveling.

Kadie Frazier, DVM, Surgical Assistant

The newest addition to the TVSS team, Kadie, recently received her DVM from St. Matthew’s University School of Veterinary Medicine in the Cayman Islands. Prior to returning home to Grand Cayman for vet school, Kadie lived in Miami, Florida, where she received an undergraduate degree from the University of Miami (go ‘Canes!). After completing her 4th year clinical rotations at NCSU, she decided to stay in North Carolina and is in the process of completing the US licensing protocol for foreign vet school grads.

When not working, Kadie enjoys spending quality time with her family, cooking, snorkeling, getting lost in a good novel, and quenching wanderlust. She believes that reggae, sun, and salt water can cure just about every ailment. Kadie has one feisty cat, Trey, and three adorably quirky dogs: Cody, Shorty, and Joli.

Marilyn Druley, Office Manager

Marilyn Druley She hails from Ohio and spent a number of years working in a local animal hospital before joining TVSS in August, 2010.  She helps keep TVSS running smoothly!  In her spare time she enjoys walking with her two Australian cattle dogs, Tess and Callie.  Marilyn also loves working in the yard, doing crafts and refinishing furniture as well as spending time with her daughters and grandchildren.
